Weight
Loss and Diabetes
Has
dieting provoked insanity in your life? Learn how to lose weight in
a way that is sustainable and reasonable. Shannon has helped dozens
of women and men to reach their weight loss goals happily. Her approach
to weight loss is not about deprivation; it’s about becoming
mindful of what it means to eat healthfully and incorporating healthy
habits into your everyday life.
Shannon
is also extremely knowledgeable about how to treat diabetes through
nutrition. She teaches clients with pre-diabetes or diabetes about
healthy and tasty substitutions for the foods that are harming their
health. She also educates these clients about food and supplement
choices as well as lifestyle choices that will regulate their blood-sugar
levels, lower their weight if necessary, and lower their cholesterol,
blood pressure, and triglyceride levels.
“Shannon
really helped me think about how to eat for a lifetime. I had tried
Weight Watchers and had gotten as far as I could have on my own
when I started to work with Shannon. She really helped me see the
difference between healthy and unhealthy food, helped me to recognize
patterns in my food behavior that were getting in my way, and she
supported me through a difficult emotional transition of changing
unhealthy eating habits and physical inactivity. Shannon helped
me transform myself. I have lost sixty pounds in total, and my cholesterol
went down 50 points. With her encouragement, I did two triathlons
this year. There had been a time when I could hardly get up a flight
of stairs.”
