Shannon Martin Hodson (formerly Morehouse) is a masters-prepared health scientist with certification in holistic health counseling. She founded ShannonLynn Nutrition (SLN) in 2002 in New York City as she began her studies at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Since then, she has helped over 5,000 individuals improve their health through her one-on-one counseling and workshops. She has lectured at NYU's Medical School, Columbia University and at several renowned yoga studios and retreats. In 2009, Shannon brought SLN to CNY, the heart of New York State, where she was born and raised and plans to stay until she retires to a sunnier climate years down the road!
Shannon now works full-time as the writer and editor for the Upper New York Conference of the United Methodist Church. While no longer working with clients one-on-one, Shannon now reaches the masses through ghost-writing for celebrity medical doctors and dietitians. She also offers healthy living workshops that focus on detoxification and stress reduction.
When COVID-19 struck the world in 2020, Shannon realized that people needed information on how to reduce stress. With purpose and passion, Shannon created the Kissing Stress Goodbye Facebook group where she offers several tips to reduce stress every week and welcomes others to do the same. Shannon also created the Kissing Stress Goodbye Workbook.
In 2021, Shannon is bringing her nutrition and mindset improvement knowledge to the world wide web, offering support groups and coaching online.
In her free time, she can be found having tons of fun with her husband, daughter, border collies, and friends! She loves cooking healthy meals and running races of all distances, including obstacle races!
